Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi)

I have trained through both Level 1 and Level 2 of Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi), a movement-based program built around 17 foundational rhythmic movements that mirror the natural, innate movements infants make in their first year of life. This training covers how these movements combined with isometric pressure help regulate muscle tone, stimulate connections between the cerebellum and the neocortex, and support the integration of primitive reflexes such as the Tonic Labyrinthine (TLR), ATNR, STNR, Spinal Galant, and Moro reflex.

This qualifies me to assess for retained primitive reflexes and design an individualized program of rhythmic movements to support the neurological foundations underlying attention, impulse control, coordination, emotional regulation, and stress resilience used as a gentle, complementary tool alongside a child’s other therapies.

Rhythmic Movement Training International (RMTi)

Supporting Better Movement, Learning & Emotional Regulation

RMTi helps children integrate retained primitive reflexes that may interfere with movement, posture, learning, attention, emotional regulation, and overall development.

What is RMTi?

Primitive reflexes are automatic movements present during infancy. When these reflexes remain active beyond the expected developmental stage, they may affect coordination, balance, attention, handwriting, learning, and behavior. RMTi uses structured movement activities to help the nervous system mature and improve functional performance.
